Refund & Return Policy
At The Thai Origins, we want you to be completely satisfied with your authentic Thai products. If you receive an item that is damaged, defective, or not what you ordered, please return it to us, and we’ll arrange a replacement or refund. However, some conditions apply.
Procedure to Return a Product
Inside Dhaka:
The product must be checked in front of our delivery person at the time of delivery. If you find any issue, inform our delivery person immediately and note it before accepting the package.
Outside Dhaka:
You will have a maximum of 24 hours after delivery to notify us that you want to return your product. Please inspect your package as soon as it arrives.
If your item meets all requirements, your return can be initiated by contacting our Customer Service Department via WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, or email.
Reasons for Return or Replacement
You may request a return or replacement if:
- The received product is damaged during shipping.
- The received product is defective (e.g., seal broken, container leaking, expired).
- The received product is not the product you ordered (wrong item).
Guidelines to Follow When Requesting a Return
Please follow these guidelines carefully:
- Notification Period: For Outside Dhaka, you must inform us within 24 hours of delivery. For Inside Dhaka, issues must be identified at the time of delivery.
- Return Timeline: Product must be returned within 3 days from the day the product has been received (Outside Dhaka).
- Product Condition: Product must be unused, unopened, and in its original packaging with all tags and seals intact. The only exception is if the product is damaged (then we understand packaging may be compromised).
- Original Invoice: The original invoice or order slip must be returned along with the product.
- Used or Swatched Products: Products that have been used, swatched, or opened will not be considered for exchange or refund.
- Customer Error: If the customer chose and placed an order on their own and later wants to return/change the product (except for damaged/defective items), the request will not be accepted.
- Transportation Cost: In case of return for exceptional circumstances (not our error), the customer must pay the transportation cost.
The following information must be provided
When you contact our Customer Service Department, please provide:
- Order ID / Order Number
- Photo/Video Evidence: For any damaged or defective product, send clear pictures or a video immediately.
- Reason for Return: Clearly state why you are requesting a return.
Verification Process
Once we receive your returned product:
- The product will be forwarded to our Quality Inspection Team.
- It will take 1-2 business days to verify the issue.
- After verification, if the claim is found to be valid, the product will be exchanged, or the money will be refunded.
- If the claim is not valid, The Thai Origins will not be liable to exchange or return the money.
